Schola Europa Akadémia Vocational School in Budapest, Hungary Founded in 1995, Schola Europa Akadémia, Budapest, Hungary offers post-secondary vocational further education towards university degree in the fields of Media, Law, Hungarian and International Communications and Public Administration Management. Our state-accredited media courses specialise in the following fields:
Schola Europa has an active partnership with the EWS, Vienna (Austria) and the New College Durham, England. We have taken part in several Leonardo projects both with them and with other schools throughout Europe (e.g. Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and Finland). We have been a member of ESA (European Schools for Higher Education in Administrative Management) since 1992 and we also joined BUSINET (Network for the Development of European Programmes in Higher Education) in 1999 – this offers internationally recognized HEDAM Diploma.
Our media students master the knowledge and skills necessary in the electronic and written media, multimedia and graphic design. We also publish our own school journal (all written, designed and edited by the students), and we also have a studio for our school radio. Our courses are marketable throughout Europe because they not only equip graduates with the necessary professional skills but develop their individual competencies and also provide a sound knowledge of issues concerning all of Europe as well as proficiency in foreign languages.
Upon successful completion, our graduates receive a recognized Hungarian qualification, an international degree or both. In our training programs, our school provides for more than what is required by the Hungarian State Accredited Training Index. Subsequently opportunities multiply for students following their work placement abroad. With a letter of reference from the host institution abroad, as well as the International Mobility certificate, students can:
a) more easily continue their studies at an institution of higher education (university or college) in Hungary;
b) easily become employed as their qualifications and experience make them more marketable; or
c) following employment they can continue to develop their professional knowledge in a specific field through adult education programs.
North Karelia College Outokumpu has sent and received students to and from Schola Europa. The cooperation between these two schools has been very successful.
