A Film Estonia

A Film Estonia is an animation studio in Tallinn, Estonia, established in 1994 as a subsidiary of A Film A/S Copenhagen, Denmark.

As a production house, A Film Estonia produces hand-drawn and computer animation for feature-length movies, broadcast TV, educational productions and commercials. A Film Estonia was mainly a sub-contracting studio up til 2005. The studio worked for many major European and US studios including Columbia Pictures, Warner Bros. Feature Animation, Animagic, Motionworks, TerraGlyph, Egmont Imagination and Happy Life. A Film Estonia animators and designers have also created illustrations to various publications and designed logos and designs for different products. A Film Estonia animators and assistants did all the visuals for A Film A/S short animation film „When Life Departs“, which received an Oscar nomination for the Best Animated Short Film in 1998. Previously North Karelia College Outokumpu has had a chance to send two of their animation students to do their on-the-job period in A Film Estonia.
